Sudden thought: the piano in "Karma Police" by Radiohead appears to have been stolen wholseale from "Sexy Sadie by the Beatles. It has taken me a little while (11 years) to notice this. Next week: I bring you the news that Queen Victoria may have passed away.

Elsewhere, still moping about Roger Federer being beaten in the Wimbledon epic. Depressed still further by noticing how many of the unmoderated tennis fora appear to be filled with hate filled comments from people who purport to be Federer fans going on about how ugly his longtime girlfriend is. Urging him to 'upgrade' to a  more suitable companion  - someone thinner &  blonde and more fashionable. Which is not only total bollocks (she is strikingly beautiful) but it obviously insults all women by reducing their value to an absurdly narrow aesthetic. I hope she never cathes glimpse of such things or if she does, has a much thicker skin than I have.
