Doing a tidy up of the house,I found an issue of a British Marvel comic called "The Daredevils". It contains much that is wonderful, including an amusing parody of Frank Miller's Daredevil by Alan Moore & Alan Davis (Elektra: "Fool! Didn't you see that enigmatic look I gave you? That meant though I can never get over my love for you, I'm just going to kick in all your ribs in for no particular reason")
It also contained this very sweet ad which seems to hail from a much more innocent time (1983, specifically).

I love the cyberman here - he looks like a 14 year old girl at a pop concert, holding a t-shirt of her hero. I think the Cyberman can sense he is always a second string villain, called in whenever the writers REALLY want to use the Daleks but know that they can't use them too often.
The copy is good too - the tone is a bit defensive, especially the part where they say the BBC have approved it so it MUST be good. I find that very sweet.

I didn't get round to watching Doctor Who last week, so I got to watch "Silence in the library/ Forest of the dead" as a double bill. Impressions: wasn't  impressed to see Alex Kingston show up. I find her to be a smug and emotionally unengaging actress and here was no exception.
