And so for the last time, I change the picture UK Heroes Calendar of 2008 hung on my office wall. And thus it is goodbye to DL Hawkins and hello to Noah Bennet. Annoyingly, he's accompanied by Claire who takes up at least half the picture. Uncool, calendar makers! I already had to stare at Hayden's sulky mug for a month already and now she's taking away space that rightfully belongs to the show's second coolest character? Huh. If it didn't totally ruin the element of surprise as regards who was going to be on the new pic, I would totally make my own Heroes calendar next year. And it would be pretty much all Petrellis, all the time.

In other news, my brain has been totally eaten for three days by the most persistent earworm ever - Sting, as the (disguised) Devil, singing his version of the 1920's tune "Spread a Little Happiness" from the 1982  movie Brimstone & Treacle.  I see no reason why I should suffer alone...

And so it is with a heavy heart that I bid farewell to the impossibly beautiful Mohinder Suresh. 'Bye Mohinder, missing you already!
And so in August we have... Micah. Really? He gets his own page? Okay then. I feel utterly neutral. Neither pleased, nor disappointed. Micah's a good little actor but I'd be lying if I bought this thing for anything other than eye candy purposes. Still,  it seems rather shallow grounds for complaint. I'm trying to think who we haven't had yet. If we are getting Micah, I presume we will get Ando at some point. But the main thing is that I have yet to have months represented by Peter or Bennet, so there is still something to look forward to.

Bye, Simone! I actually got used, even fond of your cross looking face gazing down at me in June. I especially liked the additional little photo of you which is presumably the nearest pic they could find of you smiling but the best they could do was you with a little sarcastic sneer? Classic.
Anyway - your grumpiness often reflected my own mood and hence, I could look up and think things like" Yeah, it DOES bite here, doesn't it Simone? Too right it does" And there you'd be - offering silent agreement and solidarity.

But it's a new month and so off you go to the back of the calender to make way for (as TWoP has it) Professor of Imaginary Studies, Mohinder Suresh! So yay! Now I have pretty on my wall for July. I just wish there was more variety in the facial expressions being pulled for my Heroes. Everyone, including Mohinder, just gazes off thoughtfully into the middle distance, presumably trying to convey looking into A Troubled Future With Determination. Honourable exceptions: the aforementioned Simone and also Nathan, who instead of looking vaguely heroic was depicted looking vaguely mutinous and sulky -  pulling an expression I imagine I might show if told my favourite dessert was not on the menu and all there was instead was rice pudding.

Hooray. Ist April = chance to see who will be adorning my office wall for the next month. So I bid a hearty farewell to Mrs Niki Sanders and extend a heartfelt welcome to ....Mr Nathan Petrelli! Yay!!!   Finally, this crappy calendar pays off and I get the opportunity to gaze happily at Adrian Pasdar all day at work.  Very tempting to just stick at April for the rest of the year.
